Latest Update Regarding Corona Virus in Indonesia (23 October 2020)

The government until Thursday (22/10/2020) at 12.00 WIB noted, there were 164,346 suspects related to the corona virus or Covid-19 in Indonesia. This information was conveyed by the Covid-19 Handling Task Force through data received by Kompas.com, Thursday afternoon. Data can also be accessed by the public on the site covid19.go.id dankemkes.go.id

The data shows that there have been an additional 4,432 positive Covid-19 patients in the last 24 hours. This addition has brought the number of patients infected with Covid-19 in Indonesia to 377,541 people, since the first case was announced on March 2. Meanwhile, patients who were declared cured of Covid-19 also increased by 3,497 people. They were declared cured after getting two negative results in the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) laboratory examination.

Thus, the total number of patients who recovered from Covid-19 was 301,006 people.

However, 102 patients who died due to Covid-19 continued to increase in the past 24 hours. That way, the total number of patients who have died due to Covid-19 now amounts to 12,959 people.
