Jakarta Gatra.com-
SouthCity developers have appointed PT Totalindo Eka Perkasa Tbk (Totalindo) as the main contractor for the apartment project in Pondok Cabe. Currently, the foundation construction of The Parc Apartments has been completed ahead of schedule and is ready for the next stage of construction.
“Totalindo was chosen as the main contractor for The Parc apartment because of its experience in building various projects as well as high residential, unquestionable commitment and professionalism in every project undertaken,” said SouthCity Director, Peony Tang in a written statement, Tuesday (27/10).
According to Peony, Totalindo will be responsible for the structural, architectural and plumbing works of The Parc Apartment. He ensured that during the construction, his party will prioritize health protocols as an effort to contain the spread of the Corona virus in the area.
According to Peony, this project is targeted to be handed over in the third quarter of 2023. “We remain committed to completing the project on schedule while still implementing health protocols as recommended by the government,” he said.
He hopes that with the appointment of Totalindo, The Parc Apartement can become the first coliving residential icon in Indonesia. With complete facilities, strategic location, and easy transportation access, The Parc in SouthCity promises not only investment returns but also a comfortable home for investors and end users.
Peony admits that the pandemic has indeed affected property sales. However, she ensured that there was no delay in the construction of The Parc apartment and the project would be ready to be handed over on schedule, namely in the third quarter of 2023.
2020 has indeed been a tough year for the property sector. Senior Associate Director of Colliers International Indonesia Ferry Salanto said that this year, project completion is predicted to be delayed and the launch of new apartment projects is very limited.
In DKI Jakarta, only two lower-middle segment apartment projects were launched in the first quarter of 2020, with a total of 782 units. “We predict that there will be many setbacks in the handover (of units) because many construction works have been stopped by developers due to the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said.
