Latest Update Regarding The Corona Virus in Indonesia (19 Maret 2021)

The Ministry of Health provided the latest data on the transmission of the corona virus in Indonesia on Thursday (4/3). To this day, the number of daily cases is still at 7,000.

Today, there are an additional 7,264 new corona cases. With this addition, now the number of positive corona cases has reached 1,361,098 people.

Apart from announcing additional positive cases, the Ministry of Health also reported that 176 additional patients died. Now, 36,897 patients have died due to COVID-19.

The good news is that today the Ministry of Health reports an additional 6,440 recovered patients. Currently the total number of patients recovered is 1,176,356 people. Active cases of corona in Indonesia are now at 147,845 people. An increase of 648 people from the previous day.

It has been a year since the COVID-19 pandemic has spread in Indonesia. In the moment this year, there have been many efforts to handle it by the government and society in order to reduce the rate of its spread.

Not only, after a year of battling COVID-19, Indonesia now has a new issue to handle. The new corona variant from the UK, which experts say is much more contagious than the Wuhan variant, has been discovered in Indonesia on Tuesday (2/3) ago.

Therefore, the government constantly urges the public to stay at home only, if there is nothing urgent. Because, the potential for transmission is ever present in the crowded places.
