Latest Update Regarding Corona Virus in Indonesia (09 April 2021)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) updates the daily data on corona transmission in Indonesia. As of Thursday (8/4), there were an additional 5,504 new positive corona cases recorded.

With this addition, now the number of positive corona cases in Indonesia is 1,552,880 people. Earlier on Wednesday (7/4), the number of positive cases reached 1,547,376 people.

In addition to announcing positive cases, the Ministry of Health also reported an additional 7,640 recovered patients. In total the number of recovered patients is 1,399,382 people.

Finally, the Ministry of Health reported that an additional 163 patients died today. With this addition, the total number of patients who died was 42,227.

Positive cases today were obtained based on examination of 73,416 specimens in the last 24 hours. In addition, there are 58,214 suspects who are still under surveillance.

It is recorded that active cases of corona in Indonesia are currently at 111,271 people. A decrease of 2,299 people from the previous day.
