Latest Update Regarding Corona Virus in Indonesia (16 April 2021)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) updates the daily data on corona transmission in Indonesia. As of Thursday (8/4), there were an additional 5,504 new positive corona cases recorded.

With this addition, the total number of positive cases in Indonesia has reached 1,589,359 people. Earlier on Wednesday (14/4), the number of positive cases was 1,583,182 people.

In addition to positive cases, the Ministry of Health has also updated data on recovered COVID-19 patients. Today, there are an additional 6,362 people, bringing the number of patients recovered to 1,438,254 people. Finally, the Ministry of Health has also updated data on patients who have died. There are an additional 167 people, making the total of patients dying to Covid-19  43,073 people.

The addition of cases today was obtained from examining 74,583 specimens. The total number of active cases in Indonesia is now 108,302 people.

In Indonesia, half of the patients (data until April 15, 2021) are male. (male: 49.85%, female: 50.15%, unannounced 0.00%)
