Latest Update Regarding The Corona Virus in Indonesia (19 Maret 2021)

The Ministry of Health updates daily data on the transmission of the corona virus in Indonesia. As of Thursday (18/3), there were an additional 6,570 positive cases of COVID-19.

With these additions, the number of positive corona cases in Indonesia is 1,443,853 people. Earlier on Wednesday (17/3), the number of positive cases was 1,437,283 people. In addition to announcing positive cases, the Ministry of Health also reported that the number of recovered patients increased to 6,285 people. In total the number of patients recovered is 1,272,958 people.

However, the number of death cases have continued to climb. Today, 227 people have died from COVID-19, bringing the total to 39,142 people. Currently the active cases of COVID-19 in Indonesia is 131,753 people. An additional 58 cases from the previous day. Until now, the government is still intensifying the corona vaccination program targeting 40.3 million vaccinations, both health workers, public officials and the elderly. With this vaccination, it is hoped that it can accelerate the process of establishing communal immunity (herd immunity) in Indonesia.
