Latest Update Regarding Corona Virus in Indonesia (21 May 2021)

Positive cases of Covid-19 in Indonesia have increased recently. It was recorded that on May 20, 2021, 5,797 cases were detected.

Currently accumulation of Covid-19 cases is more than 1.7 million cases or as many as 1,758,898 cases. This number is the result of tracing through the examination of 95,435 specimens carried out using the real time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and rapid molecular test (TCM) methods.

In addition, it was also reported that 4,969 people recovered from Covid-19 today. Hence a total of 1,621,572 people has recovered. Meanwhile, the number of those who died again increased by 218 people. The total number of deaths has increased to 48,887 people. The number of suspected Covid-19 cases now stands at 75,168 people and there are 88,439 active cases. Currently, Covid-19 cases has spread in 510 regencies/cities in 34 provinces.

Previously, the total number of positive cases of Covid-19 in Indonesia as of May 19, 2021 was 1,748,230 people. For recovered cases was 1,612,239 people, while the number of people who died was 48,669 people.
