Latest Update Regarding Corona Virus in Indonesia (23 July 2021)

The Ministry of Health issued an updated data on the corona virus in Jakarta on Thursday, July 22, 2021.

Based on the corona update in Jakarta on Thursday, July 22, there was still a spike in positive corona cases in Jakarta as many as 7,058 an increase again compared to Wednesday (21/7/2021) with 5,904 cases, also higher compared to Tuesday (20/7) with total number of 6,213 cases. The Ministry of Health also provided updates on corona patients in Jakarta who recovered on Thursday (22/7/2021) as many as 10,631 cases, a slight increase compared to Wednesday, July 21, 2021, with total of 10,558 patients.

However, this recovery rate is lower than Tuesday (20/7/2021) as many as 12,071 people or on Monday 19 July as many as 12,674 people and Sunday (18/7/2021) as many as 11,857 people. Meanwhile, the number of corona patients in Jakarta who were declared dead, according to data from the Ministry of Health on Wednesday (21/7/2021) was 194 people, a sharp jump compared to Wednesday’s 95 people.

However, when compared to 268 people on Tuesday, July 20 or Monday, July 19, there were 250 deaths on Wednesday (22/7/2021).

The transmission and risk of contracting the corona virus in Jakarta is still high because residents are not obedient with the health protocols in their daily lives.
