Latest Update Regarding Corona Virus in Indonesia (25 June 2021)

Corona cases in Jakarta in recent days have continued to soar.

The average daily corona case in Jakarta has recently been fluctuating, in the range of 3,000 – 5,000 cases. However, on Thursday (24/6) the spike in corona cases in Jakarta was very high. Positive cases of corona in Jakarta jumped dramatically, reaching 7,505 cases in a day.

Head of Disease Prevention and Control Division, DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office, Dwi Oktavia explained, based on the latest data from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office, Corona PCR tests were carried out in Jakarta for as many as 25,575 specimens. Of these tests, 20,460 people were tested by PCR today to diagnose new cases of corona in Jakarta with 7,505 positive and 12,955 negative results. In addition, the DKI Jakarta Health Office also carried out a corona antigen test in Jakarta this Thursday as many as 5,053 people were tested, with 776 positive and 4,277 negative results.

“We at the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government urge all residents to increase their vigilance and be more obedient to health protocols, because the transmission of the corona virus in Jakarta is becoming faster. Obey the applicable rules as our collective effort to suppress the spread of this virus,” said Dwi, at the Jakarta City Hall, Thursday (24/6).
