Latest Update Regarding Corona Virus in Indonesia (9 July 2021)

Positive patients infected with the corona virus in Jakarta continue to experience a fairly large increase in the Corona Update in Jakarta on Thursday 8 July 2021.

The DKI Jakarta Health Office conveyed that there were 12,974 people tested positive for the corona virus in Jakarta on Thursday (8/7/2021). Meanwhile, the update on the recovery rate of corona patients in Jakarta on Thursday (8/7/2021) reached 10,857. Corona patients in Jakarta who were declared dead on Thursday, July 8, 2021, reached 130 people.

Head of Disease Prevention and Control Division, DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office, Dwi Oktavia explained, based on the latest data from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office, the Corona PCR test has been carried out in Jakarta with a total of 41,214 specimens. Of the number of corona tests in Jakarta, as many as 26,789 people were tested by PCR today to diagnose new cases. The results were 12,974 positive cases for corona in Jakarta and 13,815 negative cases.

Nevertheless, community participation is still needed to remain disciplined in implementing health protocols. Given that the corona vaccination in Jakarta is currently only reducing the impact of exposure, there is still the possibility of contracting and transmitting the corona virus if daily health protocols are not followed. This can be seen from the positive cases of corona in Jakarta, which are still volatile and increasing. We need to work together to break this chain of transmission.
