Floods early 2020, SouthCity developer declared the area safe

SouthCity Director Peony Tang ensured that the area was safe from flooding in early 2020, even when the flood submerged several residential areas in South Tangerang.

“Our location is flood-free, including The Parc Apartment, which is currently under construction,” said Peony at SouthCity Pondok Cabe, South Tangerang, Tuesday.

Peony explained its location is on high terrain additionally it is installed with a good flood control system.

For The Parc project, Peony explained that the first tower has been sold 95 percent, in the near future it will launch a second tower with prices starting at IDR 400 million for the smallest type.

“Prices will continue to rise, this is the right time for buyers to have the opportunity to get investment returns of up to 15 percent,” said Peony.

According to him, the millennial need for housing is increasing. But over time, millennials also need more than just housing but also a place to socialize and collaborate.

With today’s developments, said Peony, millennials need housing that can provide them with complete facilities and easy transportation access. Another consideration is affordability. “Prices and installments are also important factors in determining occupancy,” he said.

Peony said that this year, property prices will continue to increase, especially in areas that are safe from flooding or in locations with good flood control, for example Pondok Cabe, which is located in South Jakarta.

Meanwhile, SouthCity Associate Director, Stevie Faverius Jaya said that buyers of The Parc this year will still be dominated by millennials.
