SouthCity partners with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) and Tzu Chi Buddhist Foundation to raise funds of 500 billion rupiah

SouthCity as one of the property developers in Indonesia, along with a number of Indonesian entrepreneurs sheltered in the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (Kadin) together with the Indonesian Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation showed solidarity, support and care by raising 500 billion Rupiah  to help tackle the Corona virus pandemic (Covid-19); in the current condition of hospitals all across Indonesia lack of personal protective equipment and other necessities, where the number of patients continues to grow every day.

The funds will be used to buy various medical equipment’s and delivered to doctors and nurses who are on the front in handling the Corona virus outbreak, patients under surveillance (PDP), as well as their families. Precision and haste in handling this pandemic is the key to winning against the Corona virus.

On April 16, 2020, through the Indonesian Ministry of Health together with the Tzu Chi liaison office whose distribution was under the coordination of the Indonesian Ministry of Health and BNPB to all hospitals in Indonesia, exactly 83 institutions and 461 hospitals and public health center scattered in various cities such as Bandung, Medan, Surabaya to Manado. The distribution of aid will be delivered to President Jokowi periodically.

The assistance provided included: 2,210,180 surgical masks, 33,930 N95 masks, 987,800 covid rapid test kits, 29,057 APD Sets (protective clothing / Coverall Hazmat), 106 ventilator units, 10,720 liters of disinfectant, 1,499 disinfectant sprayer units .

Hopefully this donation can reduce the number of patients infected with the Corona virus in Indonesia.
